How to make the senior year very good?
I suggest that seniors should finish their homework as soon as possible. Also keep your grades up and check to see if you have enough credits to graduate. Then be sure to choose the college you're interested in it and make up your mind on what major you would like to take. When everything is settled, you can have fun doing anything you want and don't need to worry about college anymore. Relax and enjoy your college life.

Favorite Story
One of the story I like that we read recently in the book is The Silver 50 Sen Pieces. This is kind of a sad story. Yoshiko, a 17 year old girl living in pre-WW2 Japan leads a simple life. One day, she visits a bargain basement with her mother. They found an umbrella that they want to buy for “someone” but when they finally push through the crowd, she finds that there are no umbrellas left. After seven years, in 1946 (for them), Yoshiko is living in poverty in Tokyo, her mother died in a firebombing and her house have all burned down. Yoshiko regrets that she didn't buy the umbrella for her mother. I like this story because it really touched me. It made me learn a lesson than we should all cherish every moment and everything we have.

Give advice to underclassmen
Applying a college is definitely an important situation that students have to be worry about during high school. For me, I would like to study in America or Switzerland. I would like to go to America because it is a great place to improve my English and colleges there are much more cheaper compare to other countries. I would also choose Switzerland because it is a safe and peaceful place to go to and you can make a lot of friends from different countries. Switzerland is in the center of Europe so you can make friends from countries around there such as French, Germany, and Italy. Before you choose any college, you should first choose the major you're interested in it. My suggestion is that to really decide what major you want and choose the one that helps in your future career. For my major, I would like to choose hospitality because it is an interesting major that I would like to learn from. In the future, I would use what I learn in my major and become a hotel manager.

USA the best country to choose for studying abroad?
In the modern days, there are many students who choose to go to United States to study for college. Even though there are a lot of famous colleges in United States that lots and lots of people dreams to go but I still disagree that United States is the best country to choose for studying abroad. I think the most important thing is to know what you're interested in, then choose the major course that you would like to take, then find the college that has a good major course on what you chose. For me, I would like to study hotel management in college. Even though United States have major courses on hotel managment too but the most famous colleges in the world on hotel managment are the colleges in Switzerland. This makes me want to go to Switzerland instead of United States for college. In brief, students should choose colleges based on the major courses they would like to take, not countries that they would like to go for.
Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Bohemia
This month in british literature, we started to read a book called Sherlock Holmes. Before that, many friends suggested me to watch the TV series of Sherlock Holmes but I didn't get the chance to watch it. So this time it was great to have the chance to read it in class. I love to read mystery books which it will make me want to keep reading it and find out what happens next. One of my favorite part in the story is when Sherlock went to Adler's house to find the photograph and throw the smoke bomb in there to see where Adler will first look at so he can find where the phtotgraph is. Most amazing part is that Adler is so smart that she knows what Sherlock's plan was. The ending was quite disappointing. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be but there's a lot of suprising parts in the story that I couldn't even imagine. I'm looking forward to keep reading it and finding out more interesing and fun parts that will happen in Sherlock Holmes.

Talent Show 2014
On March 5th, GCA's students was required to attend the GCA talent show. This year's concept was about airplane. In my opinion, I think this year's talent show was the most interesting one in GCA. I'm happy and thankful to be in the production team this time. The ideas and decorations for the airplane was great and realistic. Also in this year's talent show, many students had signed up for new talents that we have never seen before which makes the show more excitement. Hope in next year I would have the chance to join the production team again.

The Pardoner's Tale and Debate
The Canterbury Tales: The Pardoner's Tale is my favorite in the Canterbury's Tales. One of my favorite part is the time when the three rioters went to find and kill Death to avenge their friend. While they were on there way, they saw an old man and he said that Death was under the oak tree. Then they found lots of gold there and wanted to carry it to town in by night. But they felt hungry so they draw lots to to see who goes to town to get bread and wine. The youngest of the three rioters lost and he went to town. The first and second rioter plans to kill the youngest rioter so then they can receive greater shares of the wealth. On the other side, the youngest rioter plan to put poison inside the wine so then he can have all the gold. When he got back to the oak tree, he got killed by the other two rioters and they celebrated by drinking the wine, then the both of them died too. We can learn from this story that it's not good to be greedy and be cautious when deciding to trust others.
Last few weeks we did debates and for me, I think it was a great experience. We debated on lots of topics and it was all quite interesting. I'm not that kind of person who likes to debate but I felt that it was pretty fun and interesting. One of my favorite topic is "Should Students be Forced to Buy Tablet Computers for Ease of Learning at School and Use in Class?." I was interested in this topic and I wrote this as my persuasive essay.
